Up and Atom in Brussels!
Bud: We got to go see a giant Atom. It was so cool! There were exhibits inside. We got to see building models from the expo and go on really long escalators. My grandma and grandpa were here 40 years ago in 1978 (touring around in their VW van like filthy hippies!). The Atom has a Smurf on it. I wonder what it’ll be like in 40 more years? The Smurf will probably be gone...
Bun: There’s a circus outside our hotel. One of the rides is just to freak people out. We got to have sushi for dinner. I love love love sushi! We only rode one train today.
Mama: Only one train! Too easy. The exhibit in the Atom was surrealist art, specifically René Magritte - one of very few artists I know of (and yes, only because of the Thomas Crown Affair. I get my culture the same place everyone else does in Canada. But seriously, such a good flick...) Brussels isn’t exactly what I was expecting!! And I think we are in the gay male red light district?!? So safe, I guess??? Quiet, not so much. Also! I’ve been meaning to meantion that Europe runs like an all inclusive. People drink all day and EVERYWHERE. Every zoo has had beer gardens and every little snack shop has booze. I have friends who would love it here. You know who you are. (Hint: It’s all of you.)
🎶 Oh Sinnerman, where you going to run to?! 🎶
Look! That’s an apple on the left of the wine and Mickeys on the way to the till. Where the air fresheners usually are!!
